Marble Falls usually is off the radar for people who have been on the Today Show.  Much less authors who have been on the New York Times best seller list.  But, today was one of those lightening in a bottle days in River City.  Andrew Carroll, by serendipity, came and spoke about his organizing and chronicling experiences and sacrifices of our military and their families throughout US history.  I say serendipity because it’s one of those right time, right place things that got him here.  My friend, Georgi, was at a DAR meeting where Andrew was speaking.  Being the shy person that she is, she not only introduced herself but found out his speaking tour dates and realized he would be in the area and bahding, bahdang, bahdaaah – here he is.  Click here to get an idea of what Andrew Carroll is doing to save the memories and legacy of those who served our country by collecting letters sent during war.  We can never thank them enough.
