BURGERS IN THE HILL COUNTRY RIVIERA

Summer is winding down, but unfortunately the Texas heat will stick around for a while.  We’re still having 100+ degree days in the hill country so we are either in the water or the air conditioning.  There’s a new place in Kingsland where there’s both—-and you can eat!  It’s Boat Town Burger Bar which is right off the 2900 highway bridge, an area I’ve always thought was the prettiest part of Lake LBJ.  You can drive or go in your boat-it’s got plenty of dock space, probably because they sell boats—lots of beautiful boats.  You may have recognized the name, it’s owned by the same people who own Boat Town in Austin which, by the way, is the place I bought my first wooden Chris Craft—what a beauty!  But, I digress……back to the food……Boat Town Burger Bar has delicious burgers, fresh-cut French fries, and more.  They also have a full bar which is really nice when you’ve been out on the lake all day and want something to wet your whistle.  There’s plenty of room, inside and out.  BTBB would be a great place to have a party or family gathering, not to mention, perfect to watch the fireworks at Aqua Boom.  As always, in the hill country, the drive over is picturesque-no matter where you’re coming from!  Check it out on the Labor Day Weekend!

Tip:  Try the Jalepeno Cheddar Bun!

Welcome to Boat Town Burger Bar!

So many options for your hamburger and real fries come with it. A pictures is worth a thousand bites.

Wouldn’t this be a great spot to watch July 4th fireworks?

Plenty of spaces to dock your boat right by the HWY 2900 bridge.

Welcome to the Hill Country Riviera!

The fun starts at the bar—and what a bar!!!

When you come in on Hwy 1431, be sure to pull over at “The Cut” and see the combined Llano and Colorado rivers.
