NEXT TIME ON THE VOICE

Call me crazy, but my dishwasher makes a sound that is exactly the three notes in Camelot.  I hear it when I close the door and push the wash cycle button.  No, Richard Burton does not sing it, but those three notes you hear —Cam-ahlot….Cam-ah-lot are quite distinct.   I’m telling you my Electrolux dishwasher has that down.  Now that I think of it, so does the Electrolux oven.  I just haven’t identified that melody, yet.  But, I know the microwave makes a few notes that is the beginning of a song that was popular a few years ago, Freeze Frame by J. Geils Band.  Da da da dada da da.  For the longest time, I could not figure out that tune—in fact it was like playing Name That Tune except no winner.  Where is Kathie Lee when you need her?  I tried humming it in the car on the way to dinner with Dennis and friends.  No one could recognize it and they were very glad when we reached our destination.  Had my singing gotten that bad?  I used to be able to belt out a pretty good song.  I got nowhere.  I even downloaded the ap that recognizes music and tried humming it and then playing it on the keyboard.  I finally read the part that says it only recognizes i-Tunes songs.  Finally, I couldn’t take it any more,  late one night I called Carol in Colorado and played the first notes on the keyboard.  At first, she thought it was Centerfold, but then diagnosed it correctly as Freeze Frame. Hallelujah.  Finally, I can get those notes out of my head.  Call me crazy, but I’ll bet there’s a familiar song in at least one of your appliances.  I just hope I don’t owe any royalty fees.
